THINGS TO DO

Winter Park was founded as a resort community by northern business magnates in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Its main street, Park Avenue, includes civic buildings, retail, art galleries, a private liberal arts college (Rollins College), museums, a park, a train station, a golf course country club, and a boat launch. The city’s most prominent features include its lakes, tree canopy, bricked streets, and the best shopping in Central Florida!

Breakfast, Lunch & Coffee:

Briar Patch – Open from 7 AM to 5 PM. Located on Park Avenue, it serves contemporary American cuisine in a warm and inviting atmosphere. BEST breakfast/ brunch spot hands down. Go early to avoid a wait!

310 Park South – Open 11 AM to 2 AM. Stylish New American cafe featuring a wine bar & live music plus people-watching from its patio.

CFS Coffee – Open 8 am to 7 PM. Delicious Colombian Coffee!

Foxtail Coffee – Open 6 am to midnight. Hipster Coffee joint! A bit of a walk from Alfond Inn but this is an awesome morning hangout spot.

Barnie’s Coffee – Open 7 am to 4 PM. Great coffee chain. Katie loves “Santa’s White Christmas” blend which is served year round.

Powerhouse Cafe – Open 6:30 am to 7 PM. Super casual, quick place for smoothies!

Dinner

Hillstone’s – Open 11:30 to 10 PM. Best atmosphere with views of gorgeous lake. Have cocktails on the lake outdoors with artichokes while you wait for a table. Classic American steakhouse. A short uber away from Alfond Inn / Welcome party location.

Prato – Open 11:30 to 11 PM. Trendy italian with outdoor seating. Expect to wait for a table or make a reservation via Resy app. Fancy Pizza! 6 minute walk to our welcome party location.

Boca Kitchen Bar Market – Open 11 AM to 11 PM. Rustic-chic spot with sidewalk seats for area-sourced American fare, charcuterie & craft cocktails. Reservations recommended for larger parties. 3 minute walk to our welcome party location.

Luma – Open 4 to 11 PM. High-end hot spot bringing together a modern aesthetic & a seasonal New American menu. 9 minute walk to our welcome party location.

Bars

The Wine Room – Open 11:30 to 1:30 am. Awesome venue with 100+ wines to taste via a machine dispenser, plus artisanal cheese & tapas.

The Porch – Open 11:30 to 2 am. Popular, airy sports bar in a converted garage offering American pub grub & craft beer on tap.

If you’re staying at Alfond Inn just take a stroll down Park Avenue and you’ll find many well known and independently owned boutiques.

Golf

There are two public courses very close to our wedding! One of the holes at Winter Park Golf Course is next to the property of our rehearsal dinner / welcome party 🙂
